Our wait to see Samsung’s curved display smartphone went over when Samsung official announced the launch of alleged smartphone today in South Korea. The rumoured smartphone is dubbed as Galaxy Round and boast 5.7-inch full HD Super Flexible AMOLED display and LTE support.
According to the press release issued by the company, this flexible Samsung Galaxy Round packs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor along with 3GB of RAM just like Galaxy Note 3, and includes 13MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, 2800 mAh battery, and LTE support.
In addition to these, Samsung has include several software tweaks in the this flexible display smartphone such as Roll Effect, that enables user to check information such as date, time, missed call and battery easily when home screen is off, Gravity Effect that creates visual interaction with the screen by tilting the device, Bounce UX, which helps users to control their music, and Side Mirror which enables users to gain access to list of the album content with a left and right tilt.
According to the company, the Samsung Galaxy Round will go on sale beginning tomorrow on SK Telecom. It is priced at 1080000 won which comes out around USD $1,000 and will be available in luxury brown colour option.
