After several leaks and rumours, HTC has finally released the limited Gold edition of flagship HTC One. With the launch, HTC has joined the suit of the companies like Apple, Blackberry, and Samsung which have already launched the gold editions of their flagships iPhone 5S, Q10 and Galaxy S4 respectively.
According to HTC, the gold version is made up of 18-carat gold, and is priced at 2.72 lakhs). This is the most expensive HTC phone ever created and only 5 such phones would be created, reveals HTC.
As far as internals are concerned, then apart from outer gold plated shell, most of the specifications are similar to original HTC One including the Ultrapixel camera with HTC Zoe, dual front-facing speakers with HTC BoomSound and more.
HTC has released the phone to celebrate the 18th Anniversary of the MOBO Awards. HTC is offering one of the five Gold HTC One smartphones to the winner of Best Newcomer category sponsored by HTC at this year’s MOBO Awards in Glasgow on 19th October.
