HTC’s mid-range dual-SIM smartphone Desire 500 has finally reached to the Indian shores today. The smartphone is now available for purchase from multiple online retailers including Saholic and Snapdeal in the country. While Saholic is offering it for INR Rs.20,999, Snapdeal is charging INR Rs.20,490 for the phone.

Originally announced back in July in Taiwan, the HTC Desire 500 comes with the features such as 4.3-inch WVGA display, 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 200 processor, 1GB RAM, 4GB on-board storage, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and 1800 mAh battery.

In addition, the smartphone has also 8MP rear camera, 1.6MP front shooter and usual connectivity features such as 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS.

At this pricing, HTC Desire 500 will be competing with Sony Xperia C, which is also retailing in the country starting this week. Similar to Desire 500, Sony Xperia C also packs 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, 4GB on-board storage, 8MP camera, Android 4.2. It has even slightly bigger display than HTC Desire 500.
