Gionee, the popular Chinese phone maker has quietly started selling a new Android smartphone, called GPad G3 in the Indian market starting today. The smartphone has been priced at 9,699 and can be purchased from online retailer Snapdeal as well as other leading e-retailers in India.
If we talk about the specifications, as per Snapdeal’s product listing, Gionee GPad G3 comes with 5.5-inch FWVGA display, and is powered by 1.2GHz quad-core MediaTek processor along with 1GB of RAM and 4GB of on-board storage.
The phone apparently runs on Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean, and includes 2250 mAh battery, 5MP rear camera, VGA front camera, dual-SIM support as well as microSD support up to 32GB. For connectivity, it features 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS.
The smartphone will join the company’s earlier launched GPad G2 smartphone, which is currently on sale in the country for around 12,000 and comes with slightly better specifications.
In related news, Gionee also launched its flagship Elife E6 smartphone in India recently, which has got a price-tag of 22,990 and comes with a 5-inch full HD display.
