Following the footstep of Samsung that announced heir first Android tablet for Kids last month, two popular vendor HCL and Swipe Telecom have also introduced their new Android tablet dedicated to children in India. Dubbed as HCL ME Champ and Swipe Junior, the tablets are priced at INR Rs.7,399 and INR Rs.5,990 respectively and available for purchase in the country.

As far as specifications are concerned, HCL ME Champ feature 7-inch WVGA display, and runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. It is powered by 1GHz processor, and packs 2MP rear camera and 0.3MP front camera.

Being a kids dedicated tablet, the tablet comes comes pre-loaded with contents from subjects like Math, Science, Geography, History, Art and Language. It also packs a parental lock feature, which can be used to control the access to various apps, time of use and other features on the device. For connectivity, it comes with Wi-Fi and 3G support via USB dongle.

On the other hand, Swipe Junior also comes with similar specifications including 7-inch display, Android 4.1, 1GHz processor , 2MP rear camera, and 0.3MP front camera. It is powered by 3000 mAh battery, and includes Wi-Fi and 3G support via USB dongle.

In addition, the tablet also come with parental lock feature as well as along with pre-loaded educational content and e-books. The tablet features shock-proof design and has been made using food-grade quality material, so even toddlers can play with it without concerns for health.
