After the launch of Apple iPhone 5S and 5C, the reports related to upcoming iPad Mini 2 have been started appearing on the net for the past few days. In the latest report, Apple iPad Mini 2 is claimed to be powered by latest 64-bit A7 processor, and said to include fingerprint scanner and M7 motion co-processor. All these three new innovations have been introduced in Apple’s latest iPhone 5S.
The report has actually come from Sonny Dickson. a guy popular for making reliable Apple leaks. In his tweet, he has tweeted that upcoming iPad Mini 2 will feature A7 processor, Touch ID fingerprint sensor, M7 motion co-processor and 1GB of RAM.
He further noted that iPad Mini 2 will be available in three colours – black, silver and gold. However has failed to reveal whether iPad Mini feature retina display or not. There have been several contradictory reports regarding the Retina display technology for the next iPad mini and tech community is yet unclear on the resolution and pixel density that the model will have.
In the earlier reports, iPad mini 2 is said to have a 7.9-inch screen, the same size as that of its predecessor, and run iOS 7.
It is rumoured that iPad mini 2 will follow the same pricing structure that Apple uses for the current range. However, it is now being speculated that it may raise prices if all these new technologies are used in the upcoming model. iPhone 5C, which costs just $100 less than iPhone 5S, does not have the 64bit processor, M7 motion co-processor and fingerprint scanner.
