HTC India is reportedly preparing for the launch of much awaited HTC One Mini, and another mid-range smartphone called Desire 500 in the country next month. In the reports, while HTC Desire 500 is speculated to be launched first week of next month, HTC One Mini is rumoured to be announced in 2nd or 3rd week of October.
Part of the company’s Desire series, HTC Desire 500 comes with 4.3-inch WVGA display and dual-SIM functionality. It is powered by Android 4.2 with Sense 5.0 and packs 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 quad-core processor paired with 1GB RAM and 4GB of internal storage. It also includes 8MP rear and 1.6MP front camera, 64GB microSD support, and 1800 mAh battery.
The pre-booking for the phone has already been started at Snapdeal which is taking an amount of 999 in advance with expected shipping in first week of October. The retailer has not mentioned the pricing of the smartphone yet.
On the other hand, HTC One Mini is the stripped down version of flagship HTC One. It features 4.3-inch 720p HD display, Android 4.2 with Sense 5.0, 1.4GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB RAM and 16GB on-board storage. It has Ultrapixel rear camera, 1.6MP front camera and 1800 mAh battery.
The phone, HTC One Mini is currently spotted listed at HTC India website with coming soon notification indicating that the expected launch is now far from now. Pricing of the phone is not official at this moment, but speculations are rife that it will be sold around 30,000 in the country.
