As soon as Samsung started selling flagship Galaxy Note 3 in multiple countries starting 25th September, several reports have appeared online claiming that the Galaxy Note 3 for Europe and USA is region locked, meaning that they won’t work with the SIMs issued from outside Europe and USA respectively.
According to reports, American model works only within Americas including North, South, Central Americas and Caribbean. On the other had European model is compatible only with SIM issued from Switzerland, Albania, Andorra, Bosnia and Herzegovina, FYROM, Monaco, Montenegro, San Marino, Serbia and Vatican City.
At this point, there is no such report whether the Asian model of Galaxy Note 3 is region locked or not, but a report published in Ausdroid suggest that at least the 16GB model being sold in Hong Kong (it is the only country, which is getting the 16GB model at this point) is not region-locked.
