After launching flagship Xperia Z1 yesterday, Sony is now looking forward to release mid-range dual-SIM Xperia C in the Indian market soon. The company has, however not mentioned the exact release date, but speculations are rife that the smartphone could be launched at the end of this month or early October this year.
Being a mid-range smartphone, Sony Xperia C packs 5-inch qHD display, and runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. It is powered by 1.2GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589 processor, 1GB RAM, and 4GB of internal storage.
It also houses 8MP rear camera, front camera, microSD card support, FM radio and usual connectivity features like Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
With the release of Xperia C, Sony seems to be targeting Samsung’s Galaxy Grand, HTC Desire 600, Micromax’s Canvas series and various budget phablets from local vendors that have flooded the market in the recent months.
The pricing of the phone is not clear at the moment, but speculations are rife that the Xperia C will be sold at a price of around 19,000 in the Indian market.
