After launching several mid-range smartphones in Canvas series, the native phone maker Micromax has now introduced a new mid-range Android tablet in the series today. Dubbed as Micromax Canvas Tab P650, the tablet sports 8-inch display and is priced at INR Rs.16,500 in the Indian market.

According to a press release issued by the company, Micromax Canvas Tab is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.2.1. It also comes with 5MP rear camera, 2MP front shooter, 1GB of RAM and 16GB of storage with microSD card slot.

In addition, Micromax P650 packs 3G support, Wi-Fi, and 4800 mAh battery. Coming to the software tweaks, Micromax has pre-loaded Opera mini, Spuul, Music Hub, M! Live , and M! Security apps on the tablet. The tablet also comes with features like video pinning to home-screen support, Smart Pause, and pop-up browser.

According to the company, the Micromax Canvas Tab P650 come in two colours White and Blue, and will be available for purchase in the country starting today.
