Huawei has unveiled two new Android smartphones under Ascend series in Taiwan today. Dubbed as Ascend G700 and Ascend G610, both the smartphone sport 5-inch display with different screen resolutions and run on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean along with 1.2GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589 processor.
According to the company, the smartphones will be available for purchase later this month in Taiwan, and the buyers will have to pay NT$9,900 (US$330) for Ascend G700 and NT$6,900 (US$232) for Ascend 610.
If we talk about the specifications of the smartphone in detail, Huawei Ascend G700 boasts 5-inch display IPS display with 1280x720p screen resolution, Android 4.2, 1.2GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589 processor, and includes 2GB of RAM, 8GB of storage, 8MP rear camera, 1.3MP front camera and usual set of connectivity options.
On the other hand, Huawei Ascend G610 features 5-inch display having
960x540p screen resolution, Android 4.2, and 1.2GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589 processor. It packs 1GB of RAM, 4GB of storage, 5MP rear camera, 0.3MP front camera, and connectivity features like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS etc.
There is still no word on the availability of smartphones in other markets outside Taiwan, but considering the company’s past track record, we also expect it to see in other markets including India.
