Several rumours are rife that LG is working on a large display smartphone in order to compete with rivals Samsung, Sony and HTC in phablet segment. According to the report of AndroidSAS, the company is developing a smartphone having 6.4-inch 1080p display with pixel density of 416ppi. The report also indicates that the company will include 8MP camera with LED flash and will use Android 4.4 Kit-Kat, Qualcomm MSM8974 Snapdragon 800 SoC along with 3GB RAM to power this smartphone.
As these rumours have been suggested by unknown sources and there is no official confirmation from company, we take it with a pinch of salt at the moment. But if the rumours are indeed true and company is really planning to launch alleged smartphone, then we will see second smartphone after Sony Xperia Z Ultra that will feature 6.4-inch 1080p display, and it will also be second powerful smartphone to feature 3GB RAM after Samsung Galaxy Note 3.
