In order to compete with leading rivals Samsung, HTC, LG and Sony who have been unveiling their latest flagships smartphones with larger display, the U.S based tech giant Apple Inc. is now looking forward to introduce 6-inch display featuring iPhone models in coming months.
As per a report published in The Wall Street Journal, Apple has already started testing the iPhone models of various sizes, with screen sizes ranging from 4.8-inch to 6-inch. The company is also rumoured to be working on a 4.8-inch iPhone model called iPhone Math, but there is no word on when the company will actually introduce the models to the world.
Apple, which is going to announce next generation iPhone 5S and a cheaper version iPhone 5C on September 10, is facing great challenges especially from Samsung who is currently offering multiple phablets in Galaxy series with screen sizes ranging from 5-inches to 6.3-inches. Sony with its Xperia Z, Xperia Z Ultra and recently launched Xperia Z1 is also making the way tougher for Apple. Some other leading companies like Nokia, Huawei, ZTE, HTC etc. have also given the indication to introduce smartphones models with an average of 6-inch display in coming months.
There is still no official word on the report, but if Apple really launches large screen iPhones in coming months, then it would be a great step taken at right time which will not only improve the market share of the company, but will also help company to regain its earlier position.
