If you can’t hold your excitement till September 4 and dying to see the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch, then you’re in luck today. A technological blog VentureBeat has just released some screenshots of the Galaxy Gear smartwatch which show off clunky design with big bezel at the top and bottom surrounded by square OLED display.
According to VentureBeat’s Christine Farr, the smartwatch features 3-inch square OLED display, and not 2.5-inch size that we have been hearing until now in several reports. She further notes that the smartwatch also packs Bluetooth to connect the device with compatible Samsung Android smartphones, Wi-Fi support, 4MP camera and speakers.
Without revealing much hardware details, the blog claims that the wearable smartwatch will come with S Voice, select Android apps for social media access and health related functions. Backing previous report, blog also confirms that the smartwatch is able to initiate a voice call which can be completed via compatible smartphones, and offers 10 hours+ battery life in a single charge.
However we’re not sure that the images posted by the blog is indeed real and authentic. May be we are dealing with fake shell of the smartwatch at the moment as Samsung has used fake shells in the past to keep the actual designs a secret. But if the images are indeed true, then the smartwatch doesn’t look like something which would replace your wrist watch.
As the announcement of Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch is now just around the corner, we’re sure that everything related to smartwatch will be revealed very soon. Till then play with these alleged images of the smartwatch.
