Just last week, we reported Nokia’s plan to introduce large screen Lumia smartphone to compete with Samsung in this segment, and today we came across the first image of Lumia 1520—the alleged smartphone which is expected to be launched along with recently appeared Windows RT tablet, codenamed Sirius at the end of next month in New York. The smartphone is also expected to be available on AT&T network in USA under the codename ‘Bandit’ and other carrier by November.
As per a report published in wpcentral, the Nokia Lumia 1520 will come with 6-inch 1080p display, latest Windows Mobile 8 OS and quad-core Snapdragon processor. The Lumia 1520 will come cased in polycarbonate body (not metal) with a 20 MP PureView camera similar to the Lumia 925’s design. It will be the first Lumia smartphone which will include Windows Phone 8 GDR3 for the new 1080P support.
The Nokia Lumia 1520 is also expected to include an optional back case with a front cover to protect the display, and wireless charging support.
Other details of Lumia 1520 are still a mystery at the moment, but considering the leaked specifications; it is expected to come with at least 2GB RAM and long marathon battery.
