Asus is reportedly gearing up for the launch of the successor of Padfone Infinity smartphone in coming days, and speculations are rife that the alleged next generation Asus smartphone could be launched at IFA event held in Berlin next month.
According to the prolific leaker Evleaks, this alleged upcoming smartphone is dubbed as Asus Padfone Infinity A86. The smartphone has also been spotted listed on a benchmark site, GFXBench, along with the specifications and internal details.
The Benchmark listing and Evleaks together suggest that the Padfone Infinity A86 will come with full HD display, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, microSD card slot, noise cancelling mic and a powerful 2.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor. The Evleaks even claims that the smartphone will be released in White colour all around the world, although the exact release date is not specified at this point.
Keeping the Padfone moniker in mind, we also expects the company to introduce a tablet dock along with the smartphone, which will allow the phone to dock inside. The specifications of this tablet dock are not known but we expect the presence of at-least full HD display and a decent battery.
To remind, the original Padfone Infinity featuring 5-inch (1920×1080 pixels) IPS display, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, 1.7 GHz Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 Processor with Adreno 320 GPU, 2GB RAM and 64GB internal memory was announced back in February this year.
