In an exclusive talk with Korea Times, Lee Young-hee, executive vice-president of Samsung’s mobile Business, confirmed that the rumoured launch of flagship Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear smartwatch on September 4 in Berlin is indeed true, and the company is all set to unveil these high end products at the venue on the specified date.
Rumours regarding the alleged launch of these products on September 4 have been surfacing for the past few days all around the web. Samsung even started dispatching invitations for the launch event to the tech press this month, but there was nothing official what are coming at the event. So now after the confirmation, we’re feeling quite relaxed and looking forward to see unveiling of the products on September 4.
In addition to the confirmation, Samsung’s executive also noted that the Galaxy Gear will feature non-flexible display, although she denied to disclose the specifications of the devices further.
But no problem, the specifications of the devices have been surfacing for the past few day all around the web and we know much about these devices now. In the earlier reports, Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch is said to come with 2.5-inch square AMOLED OLED display, dual-core processor, Bluetooth, NFC and Wi-Fi support. It will work in conjunction with Samsung’s Android devices, which will use Watch Manager app to communicate with the smartwatch.
On the other hand, Galaxy Note III is expected to come with 5.7-inch full HD display, Android 4.3, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.
