Can you imagine if all the Wikipedia articles would be grouped together in order to make a book then how large it will be and how many pages it will contain? Of course the size of such a book will be extremely large. Do you know the English edition of Wikipedia contains 3 million articles as of now and if someone were to print the entire Wikipedia encyclopedia into a book, the size of that book would be roughly equivalent to 952 volumes of the Encyclopedia Britannica.
Needless to say that no one would intend to print such a large book containing all the Wikipedia articles. But can you believe a student, Rob Matthews in UK has actually converted 0.01% of the Wikipedia encyclopedia into a printed book. Just take a look on this large book.
Features of the Book
This Wikipedia book contains around 5,000 pages and it’s a compilation of 400+ featured articles all picked from Wikipedia. The book is extremely large as you can see in the picture and is hard to carry with. This is just a collection of 0.01% of total Wikipedia articles. Just imagine how big it would be if all the articles were included in this book. The more interesting part is that the publisher, who come up with this amazing idea, is planning to sell this book. 😆 😆
