If a report published in Reuters is to be believed, the Finnish phone maker Nokia is planning to introduce a large screen smartphone by next month in order to compete with rival Samsung in the phablet segment.
According to the report, the alleged large screen Nokia smartphone is codenamed as Bandit and will come powered by Windows Phone mobile operating system. The smartphone is said to have 6-inch HD display (0.3-inch larger than upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 3), 1080p HD playback, and at least 20MP primary camera probably with PureView imaging technology.
There are no words on the other details at this point, but the smartphone will definitely feature high end specifications, and if the report is indeed true it will be a great competitor of Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and other large screen devices in this segment.
Just couple of days back, Nokia had revealed that the company is looking forward to introduce more large screen smartphones in order to compete in the phablet category. According to the company, Nokia has planned to offer more than one large screen device and the average display size of 5-inch to the customers in coming months.
