As expected, Huawei has released the GSM version of Ascend P1 LTE in India. Priced at INR Rs.12,490, the Huawei Ascend P1 3G is now available for purchase from online retailers such as Flipkart and Infibeam in the country.

The 3G version of Huawei Ascend P1 comes with similar specifications as that of original Ascend P1 4G LTE, but sports a different design unlikely. The Ascend P1 4G LTE was launched back in October last year in association with Bharti Airtel and has been retailing in the regions where the 4G services are available.

In terms of specifications, it boasts 4.3-inch HD Super AMOLED display and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice cream sandwich). It packs 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, 4GB of internal storage, 8MP rear camera with LED flash support, 1.3MP front camera and microSD card support up to 32GB. It is powered by a powerful 1800mAh battery.

for connectivity, there are 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and DLNA in the smartphone. It also has A-GPS with Google Maps support.

With this pricing and specification, the Huawei Ascend P1 3G smartphone will be competing with Sony Xperia M which is now also become available in India. The Sony Xpeia M is currently retailing for INR Rs.12,990 in the country. It comes with 4-inch FWVGA display, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, 1GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory.
