Lava has officially announced the launch of two new Android smartphones–Iris 356 and Iris 402 in Indian market today. Priced at INR Rs.4,499 and INR Rs.5,499, both the smartphones went on sale earlier this month.

In terms of specifications, Lava Iris 356 features 3.5-inch (480 x 320 pixels) display, and is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor along with 256 MB RAM and 512MB of internal memory. Packing 1.3MP fixed focus rear camera, 0.3MP (VGA) front-facing camera, microSD card slot for 32GB memory support, the Iris 356 runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS.

On the other hand, Lava Iris 402 comes with relatively larger 4-inch (480 x 800 pixels) capacitive touch screen display. The remaining specifications of the iris 402 are similar to Iris 356.

Apart from dual-SIM (GSM+WCDMA) connectivity, both the smartphones support 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS. As per the company, both the smartphone come with multiple colour variants including white, black and grey colors. Available via national retail stores, multi-brand outlets, and leading online stores, these smartphones comes bundled with a screen guard and a silicon soft pouch.

In the related news, company is also all set to launch a new Iris Pro smartphone series on coming August, 25. The first smartphone to be unveiled in this series is reported to pack 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 720p HD display and an iPhone 5 like design.
