As reported, Samsung has started sending out invitations to the tech press for September 4 event, where it’s highly expected to introduce next generation Galaxy Note 3 phablet as well as a wearable smart watch named Galaxy Gear. The event is scheduled to be organized at IFA Trade Fair, Berlin. This is the same event where company had launched Galaxy Note and Galaxy Note 2 back in 2011 and 2012.
Samsung is also hosting a press event in Times Square, New York for select journalists and the IFA event will be live-streamed for general public on YouTube.
The purported specifications of Galaxy Note 3 have already been surfaced on the net and we’re expecting the device to rock latest Android 4.3 as well as 5.7-inch display, 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800/ 1.8 GHz Exynos 5 Octa SoC along with 3GB of RAM and Adreno 320 GPU.
As per the earlier report, Galaxy Note 3 is said to include 13MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, 16/32/64GB of internal storage, LTE Advanced connectivity, and S-Pen support like its predecessors.
In the related news, Samsung’s rival HTC is also reported to introduce Galaxy Note 3’s competitor in the form of HTC One Max which is also rumoured to be showcased at IFA 2013. This HTC phablet is reported to have 5.9-inch 1080p display (0.2-inch larger than Galaxy Note 3), 2.3GHz, latest Android 4.3, 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, and 3,300 mAh battery. It is also rumoured to come with stylus support and rear fingerprint scanner.
The first press shots of the alleged HTC phablet appeared just 2-3 days back in China.
