Micromax has released a new Android based dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) smartphone–A34 in India today. Featuring 3.95-inch display, the smartphone is prices at INR Rs.4,399 and is available for purchase from online retailer Flipkart as well as retail outlets across the country.

Micromax A34 runs on outdated Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread OS and comes packed with 1 GHz processor, 256MB RAM, 512MB ROM out of which 165MB is user accessible.

Among the other features, it has 2MP rear camera with LED flash, 1350 mAh battery, microSD card slot, and usual set of connectivity features such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and micro USB. There is no integrated GPS in the device.

While most of the phone makers are launching smartphones with at least Android 4.0, it is disappointing to see Micromax releasing smartphones with outdated Android version. At this price, the company was expected to include at least Android 4.0 (Ice cream sandwich) operating system in the smartphone.
