Just one day after the announcement of the next version of Android–Android 4.3 Jelly Bean for smartphones and tablets, the Japanese tech giant Sony came forward and announced that it will be releasing Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update to its selected Xperia smartphones. According to the company, the models which will get the update are Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia Z Ultra, Xperia ZR and Xperia SP including Xperia Tablet Z.
However the company didn’t indicate when the actual Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update roll-out will start, but revealing its plan, company said that it’s looking forward to update some of its devices directly to Android 4.3 from existing Android 4.1 as company has found that there are not much changes between Android 4.2 and Android 4.3 and it would be wise to update the devices directly to the latest version rather than repeating the process.
If this is indeed true, then Sony Xperia’s flaghsip smartphones will be the next device after Google’ Nexus series which will get the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update so early. However except Sony, no other phone makers have come forward yet to announce the update, but we will not be surprised if companies like Samsung, LG, Huawei etc. announce the same in few coming days.
