Sony’s flagship smartphone Xperia Z Ultra, that was announced last month at Mobile Asia Expo, is now available for purchase in India. Priced at 44,990, this 6.4-inch Android Jelly Bean powered smartphone has been just spotted available at online retailer Saholic.com with 1 year of manufacturer’s warranty. The retailer claims to ship it within seven days, suggesting that they might be waiting for the actual stocks. It is available in three colours–Black, White and Purple.
Featuring 6.4-inch full HD TRILUMINOS display, the Sony Xperia Z Ultra is a dust and water-proof smartphone that runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean platform, and at the same time, it’s the first smartphone which is being shipped in India with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor clocked at 2.2GHz.
Among the other specifications, it has 2GB RAM, 16GB built-in internal memory, microSD card slot for 64GB memory expansion, 8MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, 3,000 mAh battery and connectivity features like 3GB, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, micro USB and NFC support.
In addition, Sony Xperia Z also comes with the support of handwriting recognition which is compatible with any pencil and selected stylus or pen (capacitive stylus or metal pen with tip diameter over 1mm).
