As per latest reports, Apple is in conversation with LG for large UHD (Ultra High Definition) panels to be used in its iconic product called Apple TV. According to the reports of Digitimes, the TV will come in two screen sizes of 55 inches and 65 inches.
The display screen will offer UHD (Ultra High Definition) resolution of 4K (2160p). There are already UHD based TVs in the market with electronics manufacturers like LG, Samsung and Sony.
UHD includes two video resolutions of 4K (2160p) and 8K (4320p) proposed by NHK Science & Technology Research Laboratories and approved by ITU.
The UHD technology is not widely adopted by broadcasters and is still in experimental stage. There is actually very very little content available at this resolution. Japan has declared to broadcast the final of FIFA World Cup 2014 live in Full UHD.
The crystal clarity can be estimated from the fact that a true HD film takes 4 GB space while the same film in Full UHD will take 100 GB space.
