In a newsletter on its official website, Nvidia Shield team has announced the company will start shipping its portable gaming console Shield from July 31 onward to the buyers who have pre-ordered for the device.
The gaming console was earlier scheduled to be shipped from June, 27, but after reporting a mechanical issue, the company delayed the shipments. Today the Shield team revealed that it has fixed all the mechanical issues related to Shield console and now device is fully ready for the shipments.
Here is exactly what Shield team has noted in a press release:
We want to thank you for your patience and for sticking with us through the shipment delay of your SHIELD. We have great news to share with you – your SHIELD will ship on July 31st.
Our goal has always been to ship the perfect product, so we made sure we submitted SHIELD to the most rigorous mechanical testing and quality assurance standards in the industry. We built SHIELD because we love playing games, and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
In terms of specifications, priced at USD $299, Nvidia Shield features 5-inch 1280X720p display, Tegra 4 processor and comes with dual control sticks, a D-pad, and multiple action buttons. It also has micro SD card slot, HDMI out, and USB port.
