ZTE’s building in China
After introducing six Android smartphones
in India, the Chinese phone maker ZTE is now looking forward to unveil its 4G smartphones in the country in association with Airtel and Reliance Jio. In an interview with DNA
, Xu Dejun, CEO of ZTE India told that the company is already in talk with Bharti Airtel to launch ZTE branded 4G smartphones in India latest by September this year. It should be noted that Huawei Ascend P1 LTE
is the only 4G LTE smartphone that Airtel is offering in the country.
However he didn’t reveal the much specifications of the phone, but hinted that the handset will be priced lower than the ones currently made available by LG.
According to him, ZTE will also be providing 4G LTE phones to Reliance Jio when they launch 4G, although there’s no official word on when the 4G network of Reliance will go live in the country. But if some rumours are to believed the Reliance Jio is rumoured to launch its 4G service in few metropolitan cities in the country by the end of this year.
