The US telecom operator Verizon is going to launch Motorola’s new Droid series smartphones on upcoming July 23 at a press event in NYC, USA. The telecom has started sending out invitations, in which it has mentioned that it would “unveil the next generation of one of most popular family of devices”, to the tech press for the event.
According to the technological blog The Verge, who has also received the invitation, at the event, Verizon is more likely expected to launch three new Droid smartphones – Droid Ultra, Droid Mini and Droid Max, which will be succeeding the currently available Droid RAZR M, Droid RAZR and DROID RAZR Maxx smartphones.
The specifications of the phones are still a mystery but the phones are said to come with Kevlar casings and will be available in multiple colours.
Reliable leaker @evleaks had leaked the first images of these three Droid smartphone models last week which confirmed a similar design to previous Droid models with Kevlar casings.
