Samsung India has finally announced the launch of much awaited Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini and Galaxy S4 Zoom in the country in a press event held in Mumbai. While Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini is a stripped down version of flagship smartphone Galaxy S4, Galaxy S4 Zoom is a camera centric version of the same. According to the company, Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini and Galaxy S4 Zoom are priced at 27,900 and 29,900 respectively and will be available in the country in next few days.
In terms of specifications, Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini sports 4.3-inch qHD Super AMOLED display, and runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS backed by 1.7GHz dual-core processor, 1.5GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage on board. It packs 8MP rear camera and 1.9MP front camera, microSD card slot for memory expansion support up to 64GB, and 1900 mAh battery.
On the software customizations front, the smartphone comes with features like Sound &Shot, Panorama Shot, S Travel, Story Album, Group Play and S Translator. The phone also sports IR Blaster along with WatchOn app, which turns Galaxy S4 Mini in a universal remote and it can be used to control televisions, set-top boxes or even DVD players.
Now talking about Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom. As reported and announced earlier, Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom features 4.3-inch qHD Super AMOLED display, 1.5GHz dual-core processor and Android 4.2, 1.5GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, and 2330 mAh battery.
It houses 16MP rear camera with 10x Optical Zoom, and 1.9MP front camera. Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom comes with several software customization like Photo Suggest, Smart Mode, Drama Shot, and Story Album in order to serve more than a camera.
Revealing the camera features of Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom, the company, in a press release, has noted that Galaxy S4 zoom’s ‘Zoom Ring’ can do a lot of things including the obvious zooming. When you’re in the middle of a phone call and you see something you absolutely have to share, a quick twist of the Zoom Ring will activate the In-Call Photo Share feature, letting you capture and send an image directly via MMS to whoever you are talking to simply. For easy camera navigation, the Zoom Ring can be used to activate the Quick Launch and Shortcut features, giving you instant access to multiple camera modes including Auto, Gallery and Smart Mode with a simple twist.
To sweeten the deals, with both the smartphones the company in association with Reliance Communication is offering 2GB of free 3G data for three months to RCOM GSM users.
