Bihar is the land of Buddha and Mahavira and has produced great thinkers. Keeping its history of academic excellence, the 13 year old kid Satyam Kumar of Bakhorapur village which falls under Barahara block of Bhojpur district in Bihar, has cleared IIT JEE 2013 (Advanced) with a glorious all India rank of 679.
Last year, Satyam has cracked IIT JEE 2012 with a rank of 8,137. Not satisfied with the rank, the kid had then decided to take one more chance. Satyam is the son of extremely poor and illiterate parents Sidhnath Singh (Father) and Pramila Singh (Mother). He has once again proved that if there is a will, there is a way. The boy had got special permission from CBSE at twelve and half years to clear his 12th.
His proud father Sidhnath Singh who is a farmer, said :
With this achievement Satyam has become the youngest person for the second time (in 2012 and 2013) to crack prestigious IIT JEE. Earlier this record was held by Sahal Kaushik from Delhi (in 2010) at the age of 14.
This year Satyam has appeared for IIT JEE 2013 (Advanced) in Kota (Rajasthan) where he had been studying. This advanced phase of the elite examination was faced by 150,000 students this year.
Satyam has the aspiration to build a software company similar to Facebook.
