Google owned Motorola Mobility’s rumoured Moto X smartphone is again in news, but this time it’s because of its supposed specifications which have been revealed by popular and reliable Twitter user evleaks. The specifications of Moto X smartphones were unknown until now, although the smartphone was confirmed by Motorola’s CEO Dennis Woodside back in May..
According to evleaks, the upcoming Moto X smartphones will have 1.7GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, 720p display of unknown size, Android 4.2.2, 10MP camera, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory on-board.
If the specs leaked by evleaks are indeed true, we can say that Moto X is not really going to be a flagship device and will not compete with flagships like HTC One, Samsung Galaxy S4 and even Sony Xperia Z as it was rumoured previously.
The kind of specifications it will have, are most common in mid-range offering these days. Its 1.7GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro MSM8960T processor, which is also present in the likes of Xperia SP is not a top of the line performer. However the inclusion of 10MP camera and 2GB RAM are really good news.
As Motorola CEO Dennis Woodside had said earlier, the Moto X smartphone is scheduled to be launched in summer this year and will prominently be focused in both North and South America. The smartphone might not be launched in the countries where the company has already shut its shops.
