The California-based AMD (Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.) has broken the barrier and built the world’s first commercial 5GHz CPU Processor. These processors with AMD3+ Socket are the two new members of AMD’s FX family.
Initially, AMD FX-9000 series of CPU Processors will be available though system integrated branded PCs.

The two new CPU Processors are FX-9590 and FX-9370 with clock speeds of 5GHz and 4.7 GHz respectively. Both are unlocked and can be overclocked easily. Both the processors have 8 cores and are based on Piledriver Architecture. These processors are equipped with AMD Turbo Core 3.0 technology for maximum and optimized performance. Both the processors would draw a power of 220W. These powerful processors need monster cooling.
The processors will be available shortly in this summer through fully configured branded PCs. However, the processors as for now will not be available separately in retail. The reason is the need for special power supply and very strong cooling system.
