The first press renders of Samsung’s upcoming Android powered mirror-less camera have been emerges online. Samsung , the Korean tech-giant is confirmed to showcase the alleged camera on June 20 at a press event in London where it’s also going to showcase Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom, Galaxy S4 Active, Galaxy S4 Mini and Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 smartphones.
According to the TechTastic.org, this mirror-less camera is codenamed as GN120, which means that the product is categorized as a NX device, and would probably have the name Samsung Galaxy NX ET-GN120.
In terms of specifications, Samsung Galaxy NX ET-GN120 is supposed to feature 20.3-megapixel APS-C sensor and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS. It is also said to support ISO sensitivity through 25,600 and 1080p video capture. As per UAProf file hosted on Samsung’s service, the display is claimed to be of qHD type having resolution of 540 X 960 pixels.
The internal configurations of the Samsung Galaxy NX EK-GN120 are still not clear at the moment, but if the past rumours are to beleived, it will include Samsung’s Exynos 4 quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM and 8 / 16 GB of internal storage. In other details, the camera will at least have three compatible NX lens options (18-55m, 18-200mm, and 85-??), which are also visible in the following leaked press shot.
As we can see in the images, the camera will be closer to a DSLR in size with large touchscreen display covering the whole back of the device. In terms of hardware controls, we can see shutter release, video capture button, top-mounted dial, pop-up flash release, lens release.
