Propelling its Aqua series of smartphones to the next level, the indigenous phone maker Intex has announced the launch of yet another smartphone named Aqua I-5 in Indian market. Featuring 5-inch qHD touch screen display and 1.2GHz quad-core MediaTek processor, the Intex I-5 is priced at INR Rs.11,690 and will go on sale in the country in few coming days. It will be available in two colour variants including Black and White.

Among the other features, it comes preloaded with latest Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS and packs 1GB RAM, 12 MP camera, 2MP front camera, 2,000 mAh battery, and 4GB of internal memory on-board.

Intex Aqua I-5 offers dual-SIM functionality along with the connectivity features like Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi and GPS.

Apart from these, it also comes with 3G video calling support, smart screen capture, Flip to mute, pattern lock security, and voice screen unlock.

At the launch, Sanjay Kumar Kalirona, GM-Mobility Division, Intex Technologies said:

At this price and featuring these specifications, the phone will be competing with Micromax’s recently launched A110Q Canvas 2 Plus phone, which also features Android 4.2, 5-inch display, 1.2GHz MT6589 processor, 1GB of RAM and comes in same price-bracket.
