Expanding its Android tablet portfolio, HCL has announced the launch of yet another voice-calling featuring tablet in the country. Dubbed as HCL ME Connect 2G 2.0., the tablet sports 7-inch touch screen display that offers 800×480 pixel resolution. As per the press release issued by the company the tablet is priced at 8,499 and enables users to make 2G voice-call just like any other mobile handset.
HCL ME Connect 2G 2.0 runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean platform and houses 1 GHz ARM Cortex A9 processor coupled with 1GB DDR3 RAM. It comes with 4 GB internal memory which is expandable to 32 GB via microSD card. The tablet also includes 2 megapixel rear camera, 0.3 megapixel front camera and come with the support for for 11 local Indian languages

Apart from the connectivity features like mini-HDMI port, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n), USB data card (WCDMA/EVDO) for 3G internet access, the tablet comes with freebies worth more than 2,000 but it is not clear what sort of things HCL is offering with the tablet.
