The mobile technological blog PhoneArena reports that Sony Mobile is working on yet another large screen phablet called Xperia ZU.
The handset, codenamed Togari, reportedly has a 6.4-inch display with full 1080p HD resolution. This phablet’s display will be capable of supporting not only the finger and stylus, but also a pen or pencil. The Xperia ZU Togari is expected to launch at the IFA expo in Berlin in the month of August-September this year.
Sony seems to have used a new technology for its shatter-proof glass display. The 6.4-inch display might be bit less in terms of pixel density when compared to other smaller screen devices.
This phablet will be powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800/600 mobile processor and will pack 2GB RAM. The chipset will also feature the Adreno 330 graphics chip that will drive the 13 megapixel Exmor RS image sensor at the rear. There will be a 2 megapixel full HD supporting Exmor R camera in the front, added the report.
Monster-like Sony Xperia ZU Togari is set to compete with the Samsung Galaxy Note III, upcoming HTC T6 and many more large screen display bearing phablets expected later this year.
