Samsung has officially announced the launch of Galaxy Mega 5.8 and Galaxy Mega 6.3 smartphones in India today. Sporting large display size of 5.8-inch and 6.3-inch respectively, both the smartphones were officially announced last month.

Talking about the specs, Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 features 5.8-inch display with qHD resolution (960x540p), latest Android v4.2 Jelly Bean, 1.4GHz dual-core processor, 1.5 GB RAM, 8GB internal memory (expandable up to 64GB via microSD card), 8MP rear camera with LED flash support, 2MP front camera and 2600 mAh battery.

On the other hand, running on Android v4.2 Jelly Bean, Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 boasts 6.3-inch larger HD TFT display, 1.7GHz dual-core processor, 1.5GB RAM, 8/16 GB internal memory (expandable up to 64GB via microSD card), and 3200 mAh battery. Like Galaxy Mega 5.3, it also features 2MP front camera and 8MP rear camera with LED flash support.

In addition, like Samsung Galaxy S4, both the Mega smartphone sport software customizations features such as Samsung Link, S Translator, Story Album, Air View, Sound & Shot, Group Play, S Travel and Samsung WatchON.

To sweeten the deal, the company has partnered with Reliance Communications and Vodafone telecom operators to provide data offers to the buyers of Galaxy Mega smartphones. RCOM will be offering 2GB of free data per month for three months as well as unlimited access to Bigflix, Whatsapp, Twitter and Facebook. On the other hand, Vodafone will be giving free 2GB of data per month for two months.

As per the company, Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 will be available in dual-SIM variant beginning next week for INR Rs.25,100, while Mega 6.3 (single SIM) will go on sale from June 10 with a price tag of INR Rs.31,490.
