Pantel Technologies, the company best known for launching Android tablets in association state-run telecom operator BSNL, is now planning to introduce Android-based smartphones in the ultra-competitive smartphone market in India. The company has revealed that it’s going to jump in smartphones market by launching three Android smartphone which will go on sale in the country from next month.
In an interview with PTI, Pantel’s Managing Director Vjiender Singh told that the phone will be priced between 7,000 and 15,000 and will be launched in 2nd week of June.
Without revealing the name of the phones, he stated that the upcoming Pantel’s smartphone will feature 3G connectivity, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and at-least 1GHz processor. The company is looking forward to sell 50,000 to 60,000 phones every month and has also planned to launch 4G enabled smartphones later this year.
