After launching an all-new app for iOS last December, Yahoo’s CEO Marissa Mayer has finally announced the release of Flickr app for Android smartphones and tablets on the stage of Yahoo’s New York City event. The revamped Flickr for Android offers improved user interface which brings full resolution images everywhere and has a very photography centric design that will appeal to most users. It supports 10 languages and is available in the Google Play store for free now.
Announcing the launch, Here is what Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer wrote in a Tumbir post:
The new Flickr for Android maintains your photos’ original quality, so every image you take, edit, share, or view on your phone or tablet looks spectacular.
In addition, the user can also access 1 Terabyte of photo and video storage and can upload photos of up to 200MB per photo and 1080p HD video of up to 1GB each.
