With the starting of Google I/O 2013 event at San Francisco, a good news came for Indian consumers eagerly waiting for Google’s flagship Nexus 4, which is being manufactured by LG. As per the report, LG is all set to launch the device in 4th week of May in India. The 16 GB versions of Nexus 4 is already available for pre-order on Flipkart at a price of 25,990 along with 1 year manufacturer warranty from LG. According to retailer, it’s estimated to be available in the store from 4th week of May this year.
It’s surprising that neither LG nor Google has come forward yet to announce the product in India, and also the smartphone has not been added to the Indian version of Google Play store as of now. May be the company is planning to add it only after the official announcement, which could come any time now.
In terms of specifications, LG Nexus 4 features 4.7-inch True HD IPS Plus display with a resolution of 1280 X768 pixels supported by Zerogap Touch technology and runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean platform. It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S4 Pro processor with 1.5GHz Quad-Core Krait CPUs, 2GB of RAM, 16GB internal memory and 2,100mAh Li-Polymer battery. It also packs 8MP rear and 1.3MP HD front camera along with the usual set of connectivity features.
Originally announced in October 2012, the LG nexus 4 went on sale during November 2013 and received a great response from the customers. In U.S, the 8GB version of Nexus 4 is available at a price of $299, while 16GB variant of the device comes at $349.
