The indigenous phone maker Gionee has announced the launch of its latest dual-SIM Android-based smartphone in the country this week. Dubbed as Gionee GPad G2, the smartphone comes with 5.3 inch display with qHD resolution and runs on Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean operating platform.
Powered by 1.2 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589 processor, PowerVR SGX544 GPU and 1GB of RAM, the Gionee GPad G2 packs 8 MP auto focus camera with LED Flash capable of recording 720p HD videos, and 2MP front-facing camera for video calling.
It comes bundled with 16GB internal memory (expandable up to 32GB via microSD card) and a powerful 3,000 mAh battery. For connectivity the smartphone supports 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and aGPS.
Priced at 13,990, it will be available in both grey and white colors, and will ship with a free flip case and screen guard.
