Asus has finally announced the launch of FonePad in India Today. Originally showcased at MWC exhibition this year, the device first went on sale in Taiwan last month. It’s the company’s first Android tablet which is powered by Intel processor.
Apart from 1.2GHz single-core Intel Atom Z2420 processor, the key features of Asus FonePad (phone-cum-tablet) includes 7-inch 1280x800p resolution IPS display, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS, 1GB RAM, and 8GB/16GB internal memory.
Priced at 15,999, the tablet also boasts 3MP rear camera, 1.2MP front camera, microSD slot for memory expansion up to 32GB. For connectivity, it supports W-iFi, Bluetooth 3.0, 3G and voice calls. According to Asus, it has 9-hour battery life and Micro SIM slot for the SIM card.
