Google India in its search engine homepage has featured today an interactive doodle to celebrate Earth Day. Earth Day is celebrated worldwide every year on 22nd April. The significance of the day is to create awareness to save nature and environment among masses.

The first celebration of Earth Day was initiated by USA Senator, Gaylord Nelson on April 22, 1970.

The doodle featured today is not static but a dynamic one with a play button. On pressing play button, the doodle shows sunrise-sunset, moonrise-moonset, raining, birds, river, trees etc. It also features two caves in the mountains with bears inside them who come out on clicking at the caves.
