HTC has reportedly ordered Catcher Technology to supply the metal-alloy chassis for its next upcoming mid-range smartphone HTC M4- a revision of the HTC One, which is speculated to be launched in June this year. As per the DigiTimes, to prevent component shortage issues from happening again, HTC has decided to give its chassis orders solely to Catcher Technology. HTC is also expected to ship around 700,000 units of HTC M4 in Q2, 2013 after the debut in June, which means company is aiming to ship these units in a single month.
As per the leaks, the HTC M4 is speculated to come featured with 4.3-inch display with 720p resolution display, Android v4.2.2 Jelly Bean along with HTC sense 5.0 UI, 1.2 GHz dual-Core Snapdragon 400 MSM8930 processor, 1GB RAM and 16GB of internal memory.
Like HTC One, the smartphone is also claimed to feature HTC UltraPixel rear camera, 1.6M front camera and usual set of connectivity options like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS.
