After launching HTC First-the first Android smartphone with Facebook Home, the Taiwanese phone maker HTC seems to be working on a new dual-SIM Android based smartphone that will feature UltraPixel camera like HTC One. Today we managed to get a little glimpse of alleged smartphone, likely to be named HTC 606w, when it was recently approved by the Telecommunication Equipment Certification Center in China.
In terms of specs, the HTC 606w is said to pack 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon 400 processor, Adreno 305 graphics chip coupled with a relatively large 1GB of RAM. This is the same kind of chipset which has been observed in HTC First earlier. It will come with 16GB of on-board storage, but there is no word on whether it will also have a microSD slot for expansion.
Running on latest Android v4.1 Jelly Bean platform, the smartphone is speculated to feature 4.3 inch 720p display including usual set of connectivity options such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS plus GLONASS.
As the smartphone seems descent with these hardware specs, speculation is rife the UltraPixel camera included in the device will be based on a 1.6 megapixel sensor which would be capable of clicking high definition images and videos.
There is still no official word related to its launching, pricing and exact availability, but the smartphone is speculated to be available in China in few coming weeks followed by global roll out soon after.
