The Finnish handset maker Nokia is reportedly working on large display phablet under Lumia series, which is speculated to have more advanced features but display size similar to Samsung popular Galaxy Note. As per The Financial Times, since the Microsoft is all set to update ambitious Windows Phone 8 OS later this year to support 1080p display, Nokia is intending to take advantage of the new resolution support of updated Windows Phone 8. The Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8 Os currently supports only WVGA, WXGA, and 720p resolutions.
This year, Nokia has planned to launch several models of Lumia smartphones to catapult the sales of the Lumia devices to a new level. We had earlier reported about Nokia EOS, the Lumia version of PureView smartphone equipped with same imaging technology as that of PureView 808. We’re hearing that Nokia is preparing not one, but two versions of Nokia EOS – One with dual-core processor and other with quad-core processor.
The publication reports that the company is also planned for Catwalk, an global and advanced version of Lumia 928, crafted with aluminium casing and Xenon flash. All of the rumored devices are expected to form Nokia’s 2013 portfolio for Lumia, and will be announced later this year.
