After passing through FCC in January, Google’s ambitious Glass is now passed through Bluetooth Special Interest Group certification.In the benchmark, the Glass is found sporting Bluetooth 2.1. Google has recently revealed that it will start shipping the Explorer Edition of the Glass to the developers, who has registered for the device at last year’s Google I/O event, from next month, as the company is very close to get the Glass hardware in hands.
The company is scheduled to organize its annual I/O developer conference in San Francisco from May 15 to 17 next month, where Google Glass for developers is expected to be demonstrated and unveiled by the company.
However the company has not provided any confirmed date for the retail availability of Google Glass, but it has pointed towards the year-end launch and if everything goes well – we might actually see it in stores or online by Christmas this year.
Google had also recently selected 8,000 people in the United States that will get early access to Google Glass.
