Keeping the improving tradition alive, Facebook has updated its photo viewer as Google+ style which allow users to open the photos with a pop-up screen on the same page and displays user comments and ads next to the picture. For some users, it is a cool feature but for some of us it’s more annoying. The most annoying problem with this photo viewer is that you can’t right-click and can’t get the image source like before.
However if you don’t like the lay-out and want to stick to the classic photo viewer where photos are displayed on another page instead of pop-up, fortunately there are various ways to do it. Just follow any one of these.
Three Simple Ways
- The first way is – hold the Ctrl Key while clicking the thumbnail of any photo in Facebook. The photo will open in a new tab without lightbox effect.
- The second way is – when any photo is open in photo viewer, press F5 key in your keyboard or simply press reload button in your browser. It will open the photo in classic view mode.
- The third way is – go to address bar of your browser and remove the string “&theater” from the photo URL and press Enter.
