Expanding its Iris portfolio, the indigenous phone maker Lava has announced a new Android Jelly Bean operated dual-SIM smartphone in India. Dubbed as Lava Iris 455, the smartphone supports 4.5-inch qHD display with 960×540 pixel resolution. The smartphone is expected to hit the stores in India in few coming days with unspecified price.
Apart from Android v4.1 Jelly Bean and 4.5-inch display, it comes with 1GHz dual-core processor, 512MB RAM, 4GB internal memory and 1500 mAh battery. The device is equipped with 5MP rear camera with LED flash and VGA front camera to fulfill your imaging requirements.
In terms of connectivity features, the smartphone includes 3G, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. There is no GPS in the device which may be a downside for the smartphone.
Looking at the specs, Lava Iris 455 seems like the successor of Iris 454, which was launched at the end of February this year with Android v4.0. It is expected to be priced under 8,000 and likely to compete with recently launched Huawei Ascend Y300 and Micromax A91 Ninja and Karbonn Smart A12, which are now available in country in the expected price range.
